Hockey Legend Myth & Verse is a collection of one page short reads, hockey stories of a few pages in length, and the three longer Buffalo Legends never before told. All the players on the hot team of 2007 Buffalo Sabres team and the high ranking 2007 Niagara U Purple Eagles team are found written into one or several of the legends. Buffalo Sabres Marty Biron, (now THE Philadelphia Flyers goalie #43) and Greg Gardner of Niagara University fame are in the blue crease and owning it! The pulse and rhythm of the game yours to enjoy.
"This book is on the money, for your money. There is nothing else like it out there." The next best thing is another book by the same author! ( or so I have been told) AB

Artica Burr's Book in the Library of the MS Fram
Lynda Joy Smith delivered a copy of "Hockey Legend Myth & Verse" into the hands of Captain Rune Andreassen of the MS Fram. The connection is the feature story in the book called "My Antarctica"! Now the story about the Goalie King of Antarctica will travel along in the ship library around the world! AB

Artica Burr's Book Arrives In Antarctica
Lynda Joy Smith was next Zodiac in line for a shore landing at Port Lockroy, Antarctica, when the weather quickly turned and a Zodiac returned half filled with ocean water. Some of the passengers were a bit shaken. No more landings at Port Lockroy! Lynda Joy Smith was heart sunk. Port Lockroy is a favorite spot to visit and photograph! During her turn to explore Port Lockroy, she had been counting on delivering a copy of "Hockey Legend Myth & Verse" with it's feature story "My Antarctica" to Rick the Postmaster. Lynda Joy Smith also had a post card to mail to the "Goalie King" of Antarctica. Weather is the determining factor. Lynda Joy Smith began to ask the crew if on the next and last expedition they could deliver the book.
Small miracles happen. The Post Office is only open during the summer months and closes at 6PM. On another evening after the scheduled landings, the MS Fram turned around and headed back to Port Lockroy. One 7:30PM landing was made, after negotiations, and the MS Fram sent warm dinners and drinks for the Post Office crew along on the Zodiac. Success for Lynda Joy Smith. She was on board that Zodiac and so was the book with the story about the "Goalie King" of Antarctica. Needless to say the dinners and book were delivered to Rick and all enjoyed the landing. AB

The third "Goalie King of Antarctica" story Lynda Joy Smith will be in Antarctica Feb 2008 and will be sharing information I can weave into this story. A little bit of fact in fiction is a good thing.
