On Board The MS Fram!

Lynda Joy Smith presents Captain Artica Burr's book

Rune Andreassen is Captain of the mighty MS Fram.  The MS Fram was specially built to withstand both Arctic and Antarctic travel.  The Captain takes the safety of his passengers very seriously.  He must make decisions many times a day.  His crew keeps him up to date, especially on the pending weather changes.  Weather changes can become dangerous in Antarctica.

The Captain relies on both his training and his own good judgement when deciding what to do in situations.  He is entrusted with both the care of the ship, and the lives of the passengers.  Captain Andreassen pays great attention to detail, enjoys his job as Captain, and is very proud of the MS Fram.

Captain Andreassen was interested in our school project and will be checking out our web site.  Here Lynda Joy Smith gives the Captain a copy of Artica Burr's book for the MS Fram Library on board Library.

The bridge is where the ship is controlled.  The MS Fram is a big ship with a huge control room.  In the left side of the picture you can see the windshield wipers on the windows!
