What's the Real Scoop?
It's nice to watch for whales, but it sure looks like going to Whaler's Bay is edging into the mouth of a Volcano??? The station on the island had to clear out some 30 years ago because of the lava. Things seem quiet now but warm water still seeps up among the rocks, or so I have read!

Lynda's visit to Deception Island was cancelled. Weather was acting up so the ship traveled to elsewhere. If you have any questions still post them on the message board. She may be able to ask a guide for the information. Weather is the deciding factor that determines shore visits hour by hour. Weather can change 5 times a day!
